AllWorld Network Announces Turkey Fast Growth 25 with TOBB and TEPAV: The Turkey 25 Breaks All the Records for an AllWorld Ranking

Istanbul, Turkey 3 December 2011…Today, the Turkey Fast Growth 25 winners were announced at the Second Global Summit on Entrepreneurship in front of an international audience of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

TOBB, TEPAV and AllWorld announced that the Turkey 25 broke all the records for an AllWorld ranking, averaging yearly growth rates of 253 percent between 2008 and 2010 and sales of $37 million per company. The two industries most represented were Construction & Engineering and Computer Networking and Software.

These 25 companies, only an average of 10 years old, already account for $1 billion in sales and over 5,000 employees. The Turkey 25 are not only succeeding locally, 36 percent of their sales comes from international markets. “The Turkey 25 companies, led by dynamic men and women, represent the leading edge of a new approach to Turkey’s competitiveness” said Professor Michael Porter, Harvard Business School Professor and co-founder of AllWorld Network.

Since May, hundreds of private companies from around Turkey were invited by TOBB and TEPAV to compete for a spot on the 25 ranking based on their sales growth. Each company had to document their performance with audited statements, and those with the fastest growing sales became the inaugural Turkey 25.

The Turkey Fast Growth 25 is a program of AllWorld Network under the patronage of the Chairman of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Mr. M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu in partnership with the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV). The Turkey 25 is part of the Arabia 500+Turkey. In total, Turkey had 116 companies on the Arabia500+Turkey, securing the number one spot for the most number of growth companies on the regional ranking of growth companies from the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and Pakistan.

President Hisarciklioglu speaking on the occasion said, “the Turkey Fast Growth 25 highlights the role of the private sector in generating new ideas, new jobs and new industries. This is the opportunity to highlight Turkey’s success in the area of entrepreneurship and push forward the doors of innovation and regional integration that will help Turkey continue its exceptional economic growth.”
